Arlene F. (Kissinger) Bergum, 88, formerly of Reading and Country Meadows, passed away Feb. 7, 2012, in Berks County Home, Berks Heim, where she resided for four years.
She was the wife of Kenneth B. Bergum, who passed away May 31, 1995.

Born in Tower City, Schuylkill County, on Aug. 6, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Allen I. Kissinger and the late Florence E. (Carl) Kissinger.

Arlene was a 1941 graduate of Tower City High School and a 1944 graduate of the Reading Hospital School of Nursing. She was employed as a head nurse at Reading Hospital from 1944 until 1949, a private duty nurse at Reading Hospital and The Caum Memorial Home from 1957 until 1963, and last worked as a waitress at Reading Airport Restaurant from 1963, until her retirement in 1973.

She is survived by two sons, a daughter, and four grandchildren. Interment will be made in Greenwood Cemetery in Tower City. Published in Reading Eagle from February 9 to February 10, 2012.
