Services for Mildred Gilkey Hinman, 77, of 708 S 11th St, Herrin will be at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church in Herrin.

Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Herrin. Friends may call at the VanNatta Funeral Home in Herrin until 1 p.m. today and then at the church until time of services.

Mrs Hinman died Thursday, May 3, 1979 in the Herrin Hospital.

She was a member of the Illinois Welfare Association, the Eastern Star, the First Baptist Church and the Herrin Garden Club.

She was born on Nov 4, 1901, in Herrin to George E and Ada McNeill Parsons. She married Cecil Gilkey in 1941. He preceded her in death in 1962. She married Joseph Hinman in 1975. He survives. She was also preceded in death by one sister and one brother.

In addition to her husband survivors are a sister, Mrs Dorothy Jackson of Whittier, Calif.; a brother, John of Chicago; several nieces and nephews.
