SUDDEEN DEATH OF NOAH COBLENTZ

The death of Noah Coblentz occured yeaterday morning
about 4 o'clock, at his home on West Elm street, and comes as
a shock to his many friends in this visinity, as well as
his immediate family. The deceased had been unusually well
of late, though a few weeks back he had a severe attack
of sickness, and on the previous day had been helping the
carpenters make repairs on his residence, which he recently bought in town. He retired about 9 o'clock Thursday evening and at four the following morning he awakened his wife, asking about the running of a nearby windmill. Shortly afterwards Mrs. Coblentz noticed him breathing
heavily and tried to rouse him, but in vain. The attending physician pronounced death due to heart failure. Noah Coblentz had been a resident of California for twelve years, coming from Youngstown, Ohio, where he was born in 1841. He leaves to mourn his loss a widow and six children, Frank, Fred, Harry and Miss Annie Coblentz, Mrs W.O. Smith
and Mrs. Ida Covert of Washington. The funeral will be held tomorrow(Sunday) at 2 p.m. at the Methodist church interment at Lodi cemetery. The G.A.R. will be in charge, as Mr. Coblentz was a member of that order.
