EDEN HILL FARMER EXPIRES SUDDENLY
Calvin R. Gensimore, a well known resident of Spruce Creek Township, near Eden Hill, was found dead by his wife on Thursday morning, Feb. 21, 1946. Mr. Gensimore apparently passed away about 5 o'clock in the morning, and death was due to a heart attack. He had been in his usual health on Wednesday and operated his truck during the day to plow snow on the state highway in Sinking Valley. He complained during the evening of a pain about his heart. Some time during the night he left his bed and went to the first floor and wad lying on the couch when his wife discovered he was dead.
Coroner B. Blair Shore of Huntingdon was notified and after learning the facts decided that death was from natural causes.
Calvin R. Gensimore was born In Tyrone Township, Blair County, on Dec. 25, 1899, hence he was aged at death 46 years, 1 month and 26 days. He was a son of Edward C. Gensimore, who resided in his home, and Margaret (Dixon) Gensimore, His mother is deceased.
He was a member of the Birmingham Presbyterian Church, and followed the occupation of farming and trucking. He had been a resident of Spruce Creek Township for the past twenty years.
He is survived by his wife, May (Bousum) Gensimore; his father and three sons: Harry Gensimore, of R. D., Tyrone; Donald and Edward Gensimore, both at home; also one grandson, and the following brothers and sisters: Paul Gensimore, of Duquesne, Pa.; Milton Gensimore, of R. D., Tyrone; Fred Gensimore, of R. D., Alexandria; Mrs. Lefay Patterson and. Mrs. Edith. Irvin, both of Tyrone, and Mrs. Virginia Davis, of Petersburg. Funeral .services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the late home, conducted by the Rev. D. I. Schaffer, and interment will be made in the Arch Springs Cemetery, directed by Temple's Funeral Service. Friends may call at the late home after 6 o'clock this evening.
