Graveside funeral services for Miss Alisha Marie Lewis, 21, of Cookeville, were conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, November 15, 2009 from Poplar Springs Cemetery, with Mr. Keith Ledbetter officiating.
Miss Lewis died Saturday, November 14, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was a mother and student.
Born August 4, 1988 in Putnam County, she was the daughter of Cindy (Choate) Lewis Hughes and the late Philip Lewis.
Survivors, in addition to her mother, include a son, Braidyn Philip Lewis of Cookeville; a step-father, David Hughes of Cookeville; maternal grandparents, Thomas and Johnie Choate of Sparta; 2 sisters and a brother-in-law, Candice and Mark Hunley of Cookeville, and Shelby Lynn Lewis of Madison, TN; a niece, Savannah Hunley of Cookeville; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
