Funeral services for Mrs. Erville Apley, 56, wife of Earl H. Apley and former Ottumwan who was killed in an automobile accident Monday near Elgin, Illinois will be held at 3 PM Thursday at the Johnson funeral Chapel here conducted by the Rev. Harold Roberts of the First Christian Church. Burial will be in Burns Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ray Valentine, Waldo McCreery, Virgil McCreery, Charles Jacobs and George B. Wellman. Mrs. Apley was the daughter of E. L. And Christine Wilson and was born October 8, 1889, in Ottumwa. She resided here until about 11 years ago when the family moved to Evanston, Illinois. She was a member of the Knights and Ladies Security. Survivors include her husband, two sons, Charles W. And Earl D. Apley both of Evanston; a daughter, Mrs. Alice McCreery, Jacksonville, Illinois two grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. E. L. Wilson, Ottumwa and two sisters, Mrs. Ray L. Brown, Monrovia, California, and Mrs. George B. Wellman, Ottumwa. She was preceded in death by her father in 1935. The body will arrive in Ottumwa at 12:55 AM Thursday and will be taken to the Johnson Chapel.
