Laura Pearl Copp, 81, Anderson, SC, and formerly of Bradenton Missionary Village, died Feb. 13, 2005.

She was born July 9, 1923, in Buffalo, NY, and came to the area in 1981 from Michigan City, Ind. She was a graduate of Houghton College in New York. She was a missionary to France for 28 years with the Society for Europe's Evangelization. She then served as secretary-treasurer of that organization for 25 years until her retirement to Bradenton Village in 1981.

Survivors include sisters Norma Shugars and Pauline Pint, both of New York.

A graveside service will be at 10:30am Thursday at Skyway Memorial Gardens in Palmetto. A memorial service will be at 2pm Friday at Calvary Baptist Church in Bradenton. Bradenton Funeral Home is in charge. Memorial donations may be made to the Society for Europe's Evangelization, 211 O'Neal Drive, Anderson, SC. Published in Herald Tribune on February 16, 2005.

Note rec'd on 3/16/2022: Since I last contacted you, I have done some further research and discovered that Laura's biological mother was Nella's sister, Pearl Gladys Stratton, but her father was unknown. Laura lived with Allen and Nella and may have been adopted by them, as all of her records list her name as Laura, but there should be some mention in the bio section of her biological mother like the following:
