Mrs. Florence Hunt, 89, died Saturday in her home after a long illness.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 3 p.m. in Reedy Branch Church with the Rev. Clarence Locklear and the Rev. Chesley Hammonds officiating. Burial will be in Lumbee Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Hunt was the widow of the late Nedus Hunt. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Davis Locklear of Pembroke, Mrs. Cleveland Bryant of Lumberton, and Mrs. Julius Bryant of Detroit, Michigan; four sons, Thedford Hunt and Johnnie S. Hunt of Fairmont, Harley S. Hunt of Rowland and Vernon Hunt of Lumberton; three sisters, Mrs. Hardy Well Locklear and Mrs. Chesley Hammond of Pembroke, and Mrs. Naomi Carter of Lumberton; one brother, Manteo Clark of Fairmont; 31 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, two great-great-granchildren, and a host of friends and relatives.
