Katherine Rens, 94, of Sioux Center, died Thursday in the Heritage Nursing Home at Orange City.
Services were at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Vander Ploeg Funeral Home in Sioux Center. The Rev. Dr. Thurman Rynbrandt officiated. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Family visitation was from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Rens, the former Katherine Doustra, was born Sept. 17, 1890, in Grand Rapids, Mich. She married Tim L. Rens Feb. 17, 1916, in Newkirk. He died Sept. 26, 1958.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Gerrett T. (Margaret) Schutt of Sioux Center; one granddaughter, and two great-grandchildren.
