John C. Childers, age 79 years, a well known and highly respected farmer of Cleveland county died March 15, 1926 at his home north of Kingsland after eight weeks illness.

He is survived by his wife, seven children, Mrs. F. E. Wilson, Lamesa, Texas; Mrs. H. H. Darby, Mrs. Julia Connell and Miss Mae Childers, Kingsland; R. L. Childers, Hugo, Okla.; L. C. Childers, Malvern; and C. H. Childers, Monticello; one brother, U. G. Childers, Sheridan; 23 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

He was laid to rest in the Kennedy (Canada) cemetery with funeral services conducted by Rev. R. A. Raney of Carthage and Rev. J. E. Waddell of Kingsland
