Mary Theresa Walton Adkins

Theresa died Tuesday, June 21, 1988, at her home in Central. She was 71, a native of Bayou Jack, Louisiana and a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday and after noon until religious services at 4 p.m. Thursday conducted by the Rev. Milford Walters. Interment will be in Greenoaks Memorial Park on Florida Blvd.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, George Cannon Adkins, Sr. of Baton Rouge; four daughters, Mrs. Charles Williams (Carol Anne) of Baton Rouge, Barbara E. Adkins of Denham Springs, Mrs. Kenneth Smith (Rose Mary) of North Carolina and Mrs. David Louis (Bonita Kay) of Plaquemine; two sons, W. E. "Bill" Adkins and wife, Janelle and George Cannon Adkins Jr., of Baton Rouge and a brother, Willie E. Walton and wife Velma of Bayou Jack, Louisiana; 11 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents, Lydia Margaret Clarke and Fred Arthur Walton.
Mary Theresa Walton Adkins was a member of Winbourne Avenue Baptist Church of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
