George Cannon Adkins Sr. died at 3:13 am. Tuesday, April 21, 1992 at Our Lady Of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was 77 years old, a native of Morrow, Louisiana and a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was a retired pipefitter with Local Union 198. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, and 9 a.m. until religious sevices at 11 a.m. Thursday conducted by the Rev. Milford Walters. Burial will be in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by four daughters, Mrs. Charles (Carol) Williams, Barbara E. Adkins, Mrs. Kenneth (Rose Mary) Smith and Mrs. David (Bonita) Louis and two sons, W.E. (Bill) Adkins and George C. Adkins Jr. Also 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, Mary Theresa Walton Adkins. Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., is in charge of arrangements.
