EAST PALESTINE - Jack A. Wolfe, 75, of 796 West Martin St., died at 8:47 p.m. Monday, July 15, 2012, at the Alliance Community Hospital. Jack was born Nov. 7, 1936, in Kittanning, Pa., a son of the late Roscoe and Myrtle Lasher Wolfe. He had been employed as cemetery superintendent at the East Palestine Cemetery Association (Glenview Cemetery) over 30 years, retiring in 1996. Prior to that, he had worked at the former Pittsburgh Chair Company and the former Rupert's Bakery. He was a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, the former Janet R. Hulton, whom he married Dec. 2, 1955; a daughter, Jackie L. (Robert) Richey of East Palestine; a son, James S. (Wanda) Wolfe of East Palestine; three grandchildren, Amanda (Wes) Hockman of Ashland, Jessica (Ted) Hamilton of New Philadelphia, and Scott Wolfe of East Palestine; one great-grandson; and his dog, Dixie. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine with the Reverend Armando Arellano and the Reverend Mark McTrustry officiating. Burial will follow at Glenview Cemetery. Friends may call today at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to either the Emmanuel United Methodist Church or Angels For Animals.
