News of a Day
Miss Cordelia E. Cooper, aged 73 years, died at the home of her sister, Mrs. Laura D. Flint, just before midnight Wednesday night. Miss Cooper was the youngest of a family of twelve children. Miss Cooper was a graduate of Hillsdale college and taught school over twenty years. She was of a kind, genial, sympathetic disposition and carried sunshine and happiness wherever whe[sic] went. She was a member of the M. E. church and was a faithful Christian ever since she was in her girlhood years. She had been sick for over six months and had been gradually failing in health for over a year. While her family and friends have known for some time that the end was near yet the passing away was a great shock to all.
