He was born July 25, 1924, in Sneek, Holland, a son of the late Wybe and Gerda (Visser) Bosma. Jack was a decorated veteran of WWII serving in the US Marine Corps. He was a member of VFW Post 1055 and the DAV. Jack enjoyed the outdoors, especially bird watching and gardening. He was also an avid reader and talented woodworker.
Jack is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years Patty (Judge) Bosma; children: Robert "Rook" (Terri) Bosma, David (Peggy) Bosma, Sandra Jameson, Melanie Smith, Bruce Bosma, Carol (Jeff) Warren; step-children: Rick (Joyce) Ungar, Sherry (Karl) Hecky, Debra (Bob) Crissinger, Joyce (Bob) Lougen; brother: Tom (Janet) Bosma; sisters: Evelyn (Robert) Tafel, Betty (Frank) Visocan, and Grace Fites; as well as 20 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his brother Fred Bosma.
Reverend Janet Bosma presided over the funeral service. Interment at Park Cemetery in Garrettsville.
