Jacqueline F. Avery, 78, of Anderson, passed away February 6, 2012 at Community Northview Care Center after an extended illness.

She was born May 6, 1933 in Fairmount and lived in there most of her life until moving to Anderson in 1985. She was a homemaker and a member of Fairmount Baptist Church.

She is survived by her nephew, Michael (wife, Nancy) Brown of Anderson; nieces, Terry Lynn Weaver of Pendleton and Sara (husband, Rob) Williams of Madison; great nieces, Michelle, Wendy and Medina; great nephews, Michael, David, Nathan, Joshua and Matthew; and several great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Blanche Avery; sisters, Joretta Brown and Janice Gosnell; niece, Barbara Cross; and nephew, Gerry Horn.

Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home. Burial will be at Elwood Cemetery.
