Funeral services for Mrs. Melissa May Brown of Durham were held yesterday from the family home. Burial was in Upham cemetery under direction of the Rebekah lodge. Services were attended by many friends.
The deceased was the wife of E. H. Brown of Durham; sister of B. F. Darby of Oroville, H. C. Darby of Durham, R. E. Darby of Bangor; Mrs. Florence Osgood of Bangor, and Mrs. M. L. Thompson of Vancouver, B. C. She was the mother of Walter Brown and Sara Franklin of Durham.
Mrs. Brown died Friday at the age of 54 years.
