Beverly and Jim Winsness found this grave marker in a back yard on March 8, 1997. On it was:
"HERE LIES THE BODY
OF HUGH BROWN
WHO DEPARTED THIS
LIFE JANUARY THE
18TH 1885
IN THE 78TH YEAR
OF HIS AGE
DEATH IS A DEBT
THAT'S JUST AND DUE
THAT I HAVE PADE
AND SO MUST YOU"
The location is .3 mile east of the intersection of 105 and Spring Road on the right behind a green trailer on a crest in a small wooded area with several other graves.
Take 141 north from I85 - just before Cornelia (and 2.2 miles past Harmony Baptist Church where Minnie Bell Brown and her mother are buried) go east on 105 for 4.85 miles to address number 2799 which presently is green trailer on the left - go up behind the trailer.
To get to Robert Brown's grave, continue .3 miles and turn right on Spring Road. Go through the stop sign found 2.5 miles down that road as it crosses Hwy 198 it becomes Union Hill Road. Continue for .3 miles passing Union Hill Baptist Church to 679 Union Hill Road. Turn right past the house and trailer and ceramics mfg bldg on a dirt driveway. Park there and walk down the dirt "road". The road turns left and the cemetery is found on the right shortly thereafter.
