Francis Marion Russell, or Frank, as he was commonly called, died Wednesday September 13th, 1905 aged 33 years, 6 months and 6 days of pulmonary tuberculosis, with which he had been afflicted for several years. While all but Frank realized that his days were numbered, still the end came sooner than expected, and he was able to walk about until the day of his death.

The funeral services were held at the Baptist Church, Rev E K Hitchcock officiating. The church could not hold all who turned out for Frank was related to nearly half the people in the valley and the rest were friends. The remains were interred in the family lot at the cemetery. It was just eight months since his mother-in-law, Mrs Williamson, was buried in the same lot.

Frank was born in Solano County March 7th, 1872, but both of his parents died when he was small. He came to this valley with his grandparents when he was 13 years old and has resided here ever since. In May, 1900, he was married to Miss Mary Williamson, who, with two children, one aged four years, and the other, six months survive him. Besides these he leaves two sisters, Mrs Olaf Johnson, and Mrs Walter Gravier.

Frank was whole-souled and a general favorite. He was honest, honorable and industrious and was liked by everybody.

His widow and children have the condolence of the community in their great affliction.
