Lucy M. Bogue Borradaile, 96, of Shelbyville passed away Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Heritage House Convalescent Center.
Born September 30, 1915, in Vevay, she was the daughter of John W. and Mary E. (Bascom) Dennis. She married Howard K. Bogue, and he preceded her in death on September 16, 1973. She married Howard Borradaile, and he preceded her in death on June 21, 1978.

Survivors include her sisters, Esther Ramsey and Mary (husband, Melvin) Tinsley, both of Shelbyville; a grandson, Randy Gaston; and a great-grandson, Ryan Gaston.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Rita R. Gaston; infant daughters, Linda Bogue and Janet Bogue; sisters, Naomi Buchanan, Ruth Benefiel, Grace Robertson and Julia Chwala; brothers, Eugene Dennis, Loren Dennis and John Dennis, Jr.

Mrs. Borradaile formerly worked at the Admiral Corporation for 16 years.

She graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1933.

Mrs. Borradaile was a member of First Church of the Nazarene.

She loved cats and enjoyed visiting with her friends and family.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Monday, February 6, 2012 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St.

Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home, with Rev. Kenneth Jewell officiating.

Interment will be in Hanover Cemetery.

Memorial contribution may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
