Magalene M. Rigney, 82, of Fancy Gap, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Rigney was born in Carroll County, Virginia to the late William & Stella Ayers. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jessie B. Rigney, a daughter, Dorothy K. France, a brother, John J. Ayers. Mrs. Rigney is survived by her children & spouses, Carlos & Lisa Rigney, Fancy Gap, Charles & Joyce Rigney, Fancy Gap, Juanita & Charles Marion, Fancy Gap, eight grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Rev. William Greer officiating. Burial will follow in the Rigney Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family of Mrs. Magalene M. Rigney.
