Flung 22 Yards After Impact
Douglas Lloyd Atkinson, 22.of Cumberland and Pine Roads, Auburn, was fatally injured yesterday when his motor cycle skidded off the Hume Highway, about eight miles on the Sydney side of Camden. The cycle ran up an embankment, knocked down three panels of fencing, and crashed into a post. Atkinson was flung 22 yards and both his shoes were torn off. Wreckage from the cycle, including the head lamp, and parts of. the post fell near him.The Liverpool Ambulance rushed him to Camden Hospital, but.he died soon after admission without regaining consciousness. The Camden police were informed that several men in a utility truck witnessed the accident. The police would like the men to communicate with them.
