FUNERAL RITES HELD TUESDAY FOR GEORGE P. BERRY

Funeral services were held at 4:30 p.m., Tuesday at the First Methodist Church in Allen for Geo. P. Berry, prominent dry goods merchant of Allen, who died suddenly Sunday morning. Rev. Anton J. Van Puffelen, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church here and Rev. C. G. Cearley, pastor of the Allen Methodist church, officiated and interment made under the direction of Crouch-Moore Funeral Home of this city followed in Restland Memorial Park. Alton Boyd, Thomas Marion, Everett Ford, E. L. Leach, H. E. Hefner and Doyle Stacy were to act as pallbearers.

Mr. Berry, an Allen merchant for the past 30 years, was born at Berryville, Ark., the son of Granville and Martha Berry. He had been a resident of Collin county many years.

Surviving the deceased are the wife, Mrs. Katie Bryan Berry of Allen, one daughter, Miss Imogene Berry, also of Allen; and one sister, Mrs. Marze Ford, Allen.
