Succumbs to Heart
Attack

Funeral services for Mrs. Mamie Geren Baugh, 65, were held Wednesday, May 29, from the Gilgal church, Minden, officiating. Interment was made in the Gilgal cemetery.

Mrs. Baugh succumbed to heart trouble in New Orleans on Sunday, May 26, after an illness of seven months. The deceased, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T.J. Geren of Claiborne parish was born May 8, 1870. On Feb. 22, 1892 she was married to Eldridge Baugh, eight children resulting from the union. She formerly resided in the Harris community. Mrs. Baugh was a lifetime member of the Baptist church.

Surviving her are eight children, L.E. Baugh, New Orleans, A.H. Baugh, Beeville, Texas, Mrs. R.M. Sexton, Minden, Mrs. J.J. Hill, New Orleans, Mrs. Milton Friend, New Orleans, R.E. Baugh, Kelly Field, San Antonio, Texas, Harold P. Baugh, Minden and Hazel Baugh, New Orleans. Two brothers, John Geren, Homer and Dr. T.J. Geren, Grosbeck, Texas, and one sister, Mrs. R.H. Knighton, Shreveport, also survive.

Funeral arrangements were made by the Butler Funeral Home.

Mrs. E.L. Baugh, wife of the late E.L. Baugh, whose death occurred at the home of her daughter, in New Orleans last Sunday, will be interred in the Gilgal cemetery Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. Baugh who resided here up until a few years ago, raised a large family of children. Some are living here and near her, who have the sympathy of a large number of friends and relatives. Mrs. Baugh was Miss Mamie Geren before her marriage to E.L. Baugh
