Clarence D. Duffe, 89, Wilton, and a resident of the Lutheran Homes, Muscatine, died Wednesday, May 2, 2007, at Unity Hospital, Muscatine.
The Rev. Bruce Giese will officiate. Musical selections will be provided by organist Diana Gradert. Inurnment will be at Oakdale Cemetery, Wilton, with military honors provided by Wilton American Legion Post 584.
Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, Wilton.

Mr. Duffe was born Feb. 15, 1918, in Muscatine, the son of Edward and Nora (Wildasin) Duffe. He married Julia Hidalgo on Aug. 17, 1939, in San Diego, Calif. She preceded him in death Feb. 9, 2003.
He graduated from Wilton High School.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He owned and operated Duffe Oil Co., Wilton.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Wilton, the Wilton Senior Citizens, Wilton American Legion Post 584, Wilton Masonic Lodge No. 167 AF & AM and the Wilton Lions Club. He enjoyed playing bridge and traveling. He also loved to watch old war and gangster movies.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
