Noah is the second born child to Francis & Abigail (Morgan) Bennett Jr. He was born in Pownal, Cumberland, Maine. His parents removed to Greenwood in 1812.

Noah first married Nancy Howe in Feb 1823 in Greenwood, Oxford, Maine. They had six children, sadly 4 died in childhood. His wife Nancy died herself at the age of 32 years.

Noah marries second Rachel Howe, who is believed to be the younger sister of his first wife Nancy. They had one son named Jacob, which would be the second son born to Noah named Jacob. The first son named Jacob died as a infant, his mother was Nancy. Rachel dies only 18 months after marriage.

Noah marries third Susan Fifield, dau of Edward Fifield of Greenwood, Maine. They have no children. Susan will remarry after the death of Noah in 1851.

It is believed Noah worked with his father at the family Mercantile Store in Greenwood. Highly respected Deacon of Greenwood. Three sons (children) survived to adulthood; Francis "Frank", John by Nancy and Jacob by Rachel.
