Mrs. Elizabeth Rhoton Holbrook died Monday evening in Campbell Memorial Hospital after suffering a stroke earlier in the day at the home of her son, A. D. Holbrook, Center Point Road. Mrs. Holbrook was born Nov 22, 1884 in Tennessee, but had been a resident here for many years. She was the widow of the late A. M. Holbrook, who died in 1951. She was a member of the Center Point Baptist Church.
Survivors include four sons, A. D. Holbrook of Center Point community, C. H. Holbrook of the Annetta community and J. C. Holbrook of Dimmitt; a brother, Charles Rhoton of Sweetwater; a sister, Mrs. Florence Bradley of Poolville; and 17 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 pm Wednesday in the Center Point Baptist Church. Burial was in the Springtown Cemetery with Cotten-Bratton Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
