Flossie Mae Duncan, 85, of Shallowater passed away Friday, May 26, 2006 in Lubbock. She was born Aug. 30, 1920 in Eastland County, Texas to the late Robert and May Elizabeth Middleton. She moved with her family to the Hardy Community in 1925.She married Archie W. Duncan, Dec. 24, 1940 in Lubbock; he preceded her in death in 1999. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Shallowater and taught Sunday school. She loved to read and was studying Hebrew at the time of her death. She was a prayer warrior for her family and friends. She was an active member of Shallowater Senior Citizens.

Flossie is survived by her children, Kay and A.B. Simpson of Oklahoma City, OK, Robbie and Rod Lambert of Lubbock and Alan and Coye Duncan of Plainview; grandchildren, Brent Simpson, Doug Simpson, Rick Lambert, Sebrina Carroll, and McAlan Duncan; 10 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Faye Burrow of Riverside CA, Evelyn Cole of Lubbock, Zoe Koinzan of Shallowater; two sister in-laws Charlotte Middleton and Frances Smith of Shallowater; and many nieces, nephews, and friends

Interment will be at 3 p.m., Tuesday, May 30, 2006 at City of Lubbock Cemetery, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 4 p.m. at Shallowater First Baptist Church with Rev. Mitch Wilson and Rev. Bill Smith officiating.
