Helen was born Feb. 25, 1911, in Taylor, to the late Charles and Martha Lundell. She had been a resident of Lubbock since 1916. She was a graduate of Lubbock High School and Texas Tech in 1932. She was the first woman to receive a Master's Degree in Business Administration. On June 24, 1936, she married Edmond A. Anderson in Lubbock. He preceded her in death on July 31, 2001.
Helen was a member of Shepherd Lutheran Church and a volunteer of the Texas Tech Alumni Association.
Survivors include daughters, Helen Geick of Lubbock, Kara Nevin of Albuquerque, N.M., and Alexis Anderson of Lubbock; grandson, Thomas Nevin and wife Tifani; granddaughter, Mary Helen Burns and husband Mike, all of Albuquerque, N.M.; and three great grandsons.
Helen is preceded in death by a daughter, Jane Woirhaye and a sister, Eugenia Brown.
