James Marshall Blizzard Sr., 83, retired West Virginia Road Commission employee, died at his home in Bayard Saturday morning.

Born October 27, 1874 in Riverton, W.Va., he was a son of the late Hamilton and Rebecca (Huffman) Blizzard.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Cleo Ruth Blizzard; five sons, Gilbert and Neal of Cumberland, James and Max of Morgantown and Marshall of Pittsburg; one daughter, Miss Georgia Blizzard, Bayard; one brother, Wesley Blizzard, Elkins.

He was a member of the Bayard Church of God.

The body is at the residence and will remain there until 12:30 p.m. today, when it will be taken to the Church of God for a funeral service conducted by the Rev. Stuart Ross.

Interment will be in the Bayard Cemetery.
