Lila Grace McGraw was born on February 1, 1913 in Myra, Texas the last of nine siblings in the Hendricks family.
She married Alton Parker McGraw on October 2, 1929. They had a daughter, Laura, then moved to El Monte, California where their son Alton Parker McGraw, Jr. was born. After living in Southern California for 38 years. They decided to move to Northern Nevada in 1981 and resided in Yerington,Nevada. Alton McGraw, Sr. passed away in April 1984. Lila remained in Yerington until 2003 when she relocated to Bullhead City, Arizona. She passed away in Bullhead City, Arizona on March 17, 2008 just after turning 95. She was active in the Ladies Masonic Organization in California and also devoted many years of volunteer work to the Lyon County Musuem and Senior Citzen Center.
She is survived by her daughter, Laura Ann Shannon; her son Alton Parker McGraw, Jr.; her granddaughters, Donna Bidwell, Denise Fleck, and Kristin McGraw and by her four great grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Friday, March 21, 2008 at the Valley View Cemetery in Yerington, Nevada.
