She married Alton Orlo Aaby in 1948, and they moved to Canton, Ohio to raise their family. Lois enjoyed painting, pottery, reading, playing cards with her friends, traveling and visiting her grandchildren. She was a long time member of Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Canton, where she was active in Bible study and served as a volunteer in many church programs. She was a current member of St. Stephen Martyr Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the Canton Potter's Guild and the Tuesday Painting Class.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
She is survived by her brother, James Stege; her children, Aane (Mary), Aazy (Elizabeth), and Andee (John); and her grandchildren, Andrea, David, Alyssa, Sarah, Jenna, Rebecca, Michael, Emily, Daniel and Mark. The family would like to thank the staff at Aultman Woodlawn for all their help and assistance during Lois's recent rehab stay.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 31, at 2:30 p.m. at St. Stephen Martyr Lutheran Church, with greeting and fellowship one hour before the service and a reception following.
In lieu of flowers, well-wishers may make a donation to Aultman Hospice.
