Sister of Senator John Tyler Morgan, Musidora married Daniel Sayre on November 26th, 1835. One of her nine children was Anthony Dickinson Sayre, Judge of the Alabama Supreme Court and father of Zelda Sayre Fitzgerald.

An eccentric woman and respected schoolteacher, there are still stories being spun about her in Montgomery. After her husband died, her son Anthony gave her a house on Pleasant Avenue. Two friends of his were both named Mrs. Bell- one was rich, the other not so rich. When the wealthier Mrs. Bell walked past Musidora's porch, Mrs. Sayre exclaimed, "Are you the nice Mrs. Bell or the wealthy, common, and very ordinary Mrs. Bell?"
