Mrs. Dorothy Knapp, 76, of Ossian died Monday (Nov. 14, 1983) in her home.

Born in Ossian, she had resided there all her life. She was a member of the Ossian Presbyterian Church and served as an elder. She was a member of the Ossian Ladies Aid, the Ossian and Pomona Granges.

Surviving are her husband, Burrell; three daughters, Mrs. Ruth Giles of Penn Yan, Mrs. Doris Way of Painted Post and Mrs. Marilyn Richards of Marion; two sons, Chester and Bruce, both of Ossian; three sisters, Mabel Sibley of Arkport, Mrs. Myrtle Keough of Dansville and a twin sister, Mrs. Esther Gibson of Dansville; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in the Chamberlin Funeral Home, Dansville. Burial will be in Ossian Center Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund of the Ossian Presbyterian Church. (GCE, November 17, 1983, p12)
