Wallace P. "Pete" Rosera, 91, Green Bay, died Wednesday, April 16. Born in Lena on Dec. 15, 1916, he was one of 14 children of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph (Alvina Trepanier) Rosera. The family moved to Green Bay when he was a child. He attended Green Bay Vocational School, studying carpentry, auto mechanics and machine shop. He married Margaret Johns on Oct. 7, 1939 and the couple enjoyed 59 years of marriage before she preceded him in death on March 27, 1999. He served in the United States Army at Fort Hood, Tex. and continued his civil service, running for mayor in the 1960's. After service he worked at various gas stations and as a sales representative for Cobb's Bakery, Montgomery Wards and Cohodas Brothers before starting Royal Distributing Company and retired from Lawson Products. Survivors include three children, Carol (Harold) Huempfer of Minneapolis, Minn., Donald (Katie) Rosera of Madison and Diane (Michael) Sturdevant of Green Bay; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and two future great-grandchildren expected in May; one great-great-grandson; two sisters, Lorena Lemerond and Dorothy "Dotty" Schultz and other friends and relatives. Besides his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Roeser; nine brothers and sisters and two infant siblings. Mass of Christian Burial was was celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 19, at St. Agnes Catholic Church. Rev. Richard Getchel officiated and entombment was in Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum at Nicolet Memorial Gardens. Blaney Funeral Home, Green Bay assisted the family. (Peshtigo Times, 23 April 2008)
