GEORGE HAYGOOD dies near Killen
Funeral rites for George Haygood, age 79 years, 5 months, and 19 days who died at the home of his son, Homer E. Haygood Friday afternoon falling a month’s illness, were held at the Harrison Chapel church with Rev W. L. Barber of Killen, officiating.
Burial following in the Cox Cemetery, with Beecham and Fields, of Loretto, Tn directing.
Mr. Haygood was a native and life-long resident of this county and a member of the Methodist church. He served as a steward at the church for a number of years.
Surviving are two sons and one daughter, Homer E Haygood Killen, and Palmer B Haygood, Memphis and Mrs. Virgil Cox of Killen, 12 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and three brothers, Dee Haygood Greenhill, Jim Haygood of Haskell, Texas, and Wiley Haygood of Iron City, TN
