Harold Firth, age 23 years, son of Mr. & Mrs. William Firth, who live on the Overholser farm west of town, was struck by lightening and intantly killed on Friday last at Buchannan, North Dakota. With other men Mr. Firth was employed on some road work, using machinery when the storm came up. They had finished their work and started home when the fatal stroke came.
The remains were shipped to Park Rapids for interment and the funeral was held from the Baptist Church Monday evening. Interment was made in Greenwood Cemetery.
