Dena worked as a teacher's aide for Manning's only elementary school.
She passed away in 1991 at the age of 69 due to Alzheimer's.
The 1930 census shows Dena and her family living on a farm near Sammy Swamp in Clarendon County, South Carolina. The 1940 census shows the family still there, though Dena had since left the home. She'd probably married between 1930 and 1940. No new children appear on the 1940 census so I assume that she had only had three siblings.
