Mary Frances Parsons passed away Wednesday morning at Medical Center Hospital in Lancaster. Mary Frances was born in Maypearl, Texas to Bob and Bertha Trammell Gryder. She married James Alton Parsons Aug. 25, 1940 in Waxahachie and they were owners of the Globe Laundry for years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Women's Golf Association.She is survived a daughter, Nelda Howard of Waxahachie; 6 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother-in-law and sister-in-law T.C. and Graham Parsons; sister-in-law Mildred Gryder; cousin Lou Berna; nieces, nephews and long time friend, Jacqueline Halback.She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, James Alton Parsons; her mother and father; and two brothers, Weldon G. Gryder and James F. Gryder.The Celebration of Life was 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 14, 1998 at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Dr. Leroy Fenton officiating. Pallbearers the were grandsons. Interment followed at the Lakeview Memorial Park.

Mary comes from Choctaw Indian bloodline from her mothers side. There is also talk of her father having Cherokee Indian blood in him. Still researching.
