Apsáalooke leader. She was the first woman elected as tribal chairwoman for the Crow Nation and served from 1990 to 2000, making her also the longest serving chairperson. Before she was chairperson she worked for the Bureau of Indian Affairs in Browning and Crow Agency then as Secretary of the Crow nation from 1988- 1990. She meet with the Clinton administration in 1993.
