In Failing health since suffering a leg fracture in June 1945, Walter died at his home on the south side of town Friday night at 9:45. He was a carpenter. He lived in Shelby county his entire life and was the S/O Miles Day & Mary Jane Smith Jackson. They had 5 children & 2 died in infancy. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Shelbyville.
