Leonard Smith, 72, of Rt. 3, Oneida, passed away at his home Wednesday, March 3. He was the son of the late Cal Smith and the late Martha Smith. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Bertha Smith; one daughter, Rosa Lee Smith, Oneida; two sons, James W. and L. J. Smith, both of Oneida; three brothers, Lora, Golman and Elmer Smith, all of Oneida; two sisters, Mrs. Zona Pennington of Oregon, and Mrs. Minnie Kidd of Pine Knot, Ky.; nine grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted from the West Funeral Home Chapel at 10 a.m. Friday, March 5, with the Rev. Charlie Duncan officiating. Burial followed in the Smith Family Cemetery.
