Charles R. Ford

Charles R. Ford, 79, of Dukedom, died Tuesday, December 13, 2005, at the Murray Calloway County Hospital. Services for Mr. Ford were held Thursday, December 15, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. in the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel in Dukedom. Burial was in the Good Springs Cemetery in Dukedom. Rev. Rick Walker officiated the services.
Mr. Ford was a retired Master Mechanic for General Motors where he worked for 35 years in Warren, Michigan. He was a member of the United Auto Workers Union. He was a SGT US Army Veteran serving in World War II. He live in Warren, Michigan from 1950 until 1983 when he moved back to the Dukedom area. Mr. Ford was born January 9, 1926 in Weakley County to the late Bessie (Bennett) and Stanley Ford. In addition to his parents, Mr. Ford was preceded in death by a brother, Harold B. Ford.
Mr. Ford is survived by his wife, Glenda (Carr) Ford of Dukedom whom he married on December 23, 1950; a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Dale Hennessee of Dunlap; three grandchildren, Alisha Hennessee and Chad Hennessee both of Chattanooga and Blake Hennessee of Dunlap; and a nephew, Glynn Bennett and wife, Marenna of Dukedom.
