Robert Comer Jr.

Robert E. Comer Jr., 23, 200 N. McGregor St., died at 10:25 A.M. Tuesday at the University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, where he had been a patient three months. He had been ill with leukemia six months.

Born Dec. 11, 1958, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert "Cotton" Comer, he was a 1977 graduate of Carthage Senior High School and attended Missouri Southern State College and was employed at Fred's Frozen Foods. He was a member of Grace Episcopla Church and Kappa Alpha fraternity at MSSC.

Surviving in addition tohis parents are four sisters Mrs. Pamela Newcomb, Covelo, Calif.; Mrs. Patricia Gruver, Carthage; Mrs. Robin Gunter, Wichita, Kan., and Mrs. Cynthia Sanders, Diamond; four brothers Lamont Comer, Jacksonville, Fla.; James Comer and Ronald Comer, both Swansea, Mass., and Daniel Comer of the home.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Grace Episcopal Church. The Rev. Richard McHenry will officiate. Burial will be under direction of The Knell Mortuary.

The family will receive friends 7-8 p.m. today at the mortuary.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Carthage High School Athletic Booster Club in care of the mortuary.
