Mr. Mayfield, 83, Bolivar, died Monday in Bolivar. The son of Elbert D. Mayfield and Rhoda Lincoln Mayfield, he was born in Mayfield.
He was a self-employed electrician for many years before retiring.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Shelby and Darrel; and one sister, Faye Dockens.
He is survived by his wife, Bessie "Betty Faye" Shrum Mayfield; one daughter, Bessie Kathleen Lueders and husband Gene of Buffalo; two brothers, Wayne of Cape Giradeau and Floyd of Marble Hills; one sister, Dorothy Doggert; two granddaughters, Stephanie Johnston and Laura Downing; and five great-grandchildren.
Services are 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6, at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill with visitation beginning at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in Pulliam Cemetery in Marble Hill.
