Della played the piano and sang beautifully. She played for the Church on Sunday. She was well liked in the community. She left behind one son Warren Dale Aukes born April 3, 1924. Her parents and siblings missed her very much. They were a close family.

The Britton Journal...March 7, 1923 Aukes-Buss.....Raymond Vivian Aukes and Miss Della Florence Buss were married at the Presbyterian manse Wednesday, March 7th at four o'clock, the bride's pastor, Dr. David E. Jackson, officiating. The young couple will settle on the groom's farm near German Valley, Illinois. Mr. Aukes is a young man of splendid promise and is well known by some of the people of Britton, he being the nephew of Mr. O.J. Reints. Miss Buss is the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R.J. Buss well known farmers of Lowell township. She has many friends in the community who will wish her much happiness. Miss Beulah Buss and Mr. Clifford Stillson accompanied the couple. The bride was attired in blue satin crepe and the bridesmaid wore a brown satin crepe. A wedding supper and reception was given at the Buss home. The Journal extends congratulations.

Mrs. Aukes leaves to mourn her going, her husband, an infant child nine days old Warren, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R.J. Buss, a sister, Miss Beulah, and two brothers, John and Frank. R.J. Buss and family live southwest of Britton, S.D. Della Florence Buss was born Aug. 24, 1897, at Titonka, Kasuth Co,. IA. Della is the second child of Reint J. and Margaret Buss. At the age of six years she moved with her parents to Forreston, Ill. In the year 1908 they moved to Britton, S.D. On March 7th, 1923, she was married to Raymond Aukes.
