Services for Sadie F. Hitsman, 73, 820 16th St., will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Schroeder Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Goins of Central Christian Church officiating. Burial will follow in Linwood Park Cemetery.
Friends may call Saturday from 7-9 p.m., Sunday from noon-9 p.m., andbefore the service Monday.
Mrs. Hitsman, a member of VFW Auxiliary No. 817, was born April 9, 1902 in Boone to Sam and Carrie Bundy Wight. She died Friday at Boone County Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, French M. Hitsman; a sister, five brothers and a son.
She is survived by two sons; Verne M. of Boone, and Robert J. of Dallas Center; two daughters; Mrs. Melvin (Heln) Page of Boone, and Mrs. Russell (Hazel) Cantonwine, Gilbert; two brothers Leon Wight of Boone, and Lyle Wight of Flordia; four sisters; Bessie Pfister and Della Cummings, both of Jefferson, Clar Halbert of Jasper, Wyo., and Winnie Leaverton of Woodbridge, VA., 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
