Oliver Thomas Shaw "O.T." was born June 7, 1916, in Pecan Gap, TX, Woodrow Wilson was president, Pancho Villa had just invaded New Mexico, and World War I raged on in Europe. O.T. lived through the Great Depression. He served in WWII in the South Pacific and Dutch Harbor, Alaska, as a Fighting Seabee. After the war, he worked in the "oil patch" for Reed Roller Bit Company. Later, he went into business for himself, owning and operating 12 dry cleaners and laundries in Oklahoma City, Moore and Norman. Mr. Shaw started a new career late in life rewinding electrical motors for Southwest Electric and Wilson Electric. He was preceded in death by his parents, Farmer and Mittie Shaw; two brothers, Frank Wayne Shaw and Myron Shaw; and first wife, Verdon Shaw. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Carolyn Shaw; daughter, Lori Boren Mayse, and son-in-law, Tony Mayse; one grandson, Alex Boren and wife Kathryn; and two great-grandchildren, Logan and Kali Boren.
