JACK's NAME & why it became confusing:

There were at least 3 or 4 Andrew Jackson Branson's in the 1800's....confusing & complicated all-by-itself!

JACK's FATHER & UNCLE really complicated things further by being loyal & honorable to one another!

The 2 brothers were born to: "John N. Branson & Cynthia Hunter Branson". They were: "Andrew Jackson Branson (b: 1845)" & "William Bonner Branson (b: 1847)". THEY NAMED their first SONS after one another!!!

So, JACK's UNCLE "Andrew Jackson Branson" named HIS SON "William Bonner Branson" to HONOR HIS BROTHER who had "the exact same name"!

Then, JACK's FATHER "William Bonner Branson" named his first son "ANDREW JACKSON BRANSON" to HONOR HIS BROTHER who had "the exact same name"!

This was honorable but terribly confusing!

Less confusing were JACK's SIBLINGS:

~"Robert" William Branson (1893-1973);
~"Myrtle" Branson (m: Pratt) (1896-1955);
~"Ruth" Middleton (m: Greenwood) (1903-1986).

All 3 siblings are here on find-a-grave. CLICK on the Name underlined below; you will be taken to each one's page.

These children all adored their mother & understood her physical ailment of being crippled. They loved her & supported her decisions concerning them.
