Elvina E. Anno, 84, of Carbondale, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Lexington Park in Topeka. She was born May 22, 1927 in Norwich, England, the daughter of George R. and Emma Owens Larkins.

Elvina married Silas H. Anno, Jr., an Army Air Corps member serving in England during WWII, on December 7, 1944, then came to the United States in 1946. He preceded her in death on December 28, 2005. She was also preceded in death by their daughter, Carolynn DeHart on November 1, 2010. Survivors include one daughter, Linda Cottle of Acworth, GA and one son, Robert J. Anno of Carbondale, five grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, and her sister, Dinah of Norwich, England.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. Burial will follow in Emmanuel Cemetery southeast of Topeka. Elvina will lie in state after 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, you may send memorial contributions to Grace Hospice, 3715 SW 29th St., Ste. 100, Topeka, KS 66614 or to Peterson's Assisted Living Resident Fund, 629 Holiday St., Osage City, KS 66523.
